A.M.R's acclaimed debut album, A Place For Everything, arrived
just several months ago yet, he's already back with a gorgeous
new single, Beginnings, before year's end. Exploring deeper
emotional terrain comes naturally for the Qatari talent, whose
compositions never fail to deliver hypnotic grooves and stirring
melodic motifs. In Beginnings, A.M.R first introduces a
formidable house groove at the quarter turn, two gorgeous themes
enter the fray: a moody piano theme and a lighter, almost
sun-kissed repeating guitar riff. A.M.R later introduces a
higher-octave riff, which completes the captivating melodic
progression. This is another masterclass in less-is-more
songwriting, in which each additional layer contributes both a
robust musicality and emotional power to the composition.
