With his debut album slated for the beginning of summer, A.M.R
is certainly making the most of a challenging year for our
global community. Sailor's Cry, the first single from his
forthcoming album (A Place For Everything), centers on an
intoxicating organic house groove, as wistful female vocal hooks
and melancholic keys coalesce to craft an exceedingly beautiful
soundscape. As the track progresses, a robust new bassline layer
subtly emerges, and haunting strings make a dramatic entrance as
well. Pouring out like the plaintive inner voice of a sailor
lost at sea, the full vocal refrain finally arrives in the main
breakdown and continues through the drop, as the protagonist
battles an especially stormy sea. A.M.R's breathtaking strings
guide us through the stirring finale, with the narrator's
journey left indelibly in our hearts, long after the song's
conclusion.
