RELEASE NOTES ..:: ] ............................ In April 2016, Ad Brown shone another powerful light on his distinctive production prowess for Particles. With the Here Now/Our Power EP, Brown created a pair of tracks that would light up clubs across the summer season. Now revisiting to the EP, Particles is delighted to announce two new remixes of Here Now. From central Hungary, Robert Reisz is a very welcome addition to the Particles family with his Robert R. Hardy production alter-ego. A music producer with a wealth of experience to his name, under both his D.M.P and Hardy monikers, Reisz has thus built a solid fan base amongst peers and followers alike. A prolific artist, the Robert R. Hardy name has already accounted for some 450 production credits since the debut original, Seven Billion Souls EP for BQ Recordings in December 2013. Quickly hitting his stride, the Robert R. Hardy name was a regular on the Stellar Fountain imprint as Balkan Connection, Soundteller and Clinique all played host to a growing reputation and an expanding portfolio. Despite seeing so much of his work signed to Proton family labels, it is thus a surprise (but no less an honour), that Reisz should make its debut on Particles towards the end of 2016. To that end the Robert R. Hardy remix of Here Now is a typically impressive offering, full of melodic poise and rhythmic flair that pays homage to Ad Brown's original with its intelligent use of original components retaining familiarity with Brown's work. A chunky rolling rhythm makes its presence felt and the vocal phrases so integral to the original are brought fully to the fore. Additional production material provided through the use of a new melodic motif post-breakdown, illustrate an emotive offering full of polish and lan. Israeli artist, Alon Shapiro and Swedish producer, Mattias Lindblom, have demonstrated a considerable degree of success through their Sapiens and Springa pairing. Lindblom, already part of the highly influential and successful Inkfish outfit, has seen his name writ large across legion blue chip imprints and releases. As Springa, Lindblom has continued to court success with his work for Suffused Music, Mistique Music and Low Pressings, amongst others. Similarly, Shapiro has derived similar success through his Sapiens moniker. An artist whose work is oft in-demand, his releases for Baroque, Pangea Music and Suffused Music, have been held in high regard. Indeed, the Five Point Fiction EP was a notable highlight for the latter imprint with its remixes from Monojoke, Advent's Rising and Inkfish themselves. The Version EP in October 2015, saw a debut outing for the Sapiens and Springa collaborative partnership on Particles as the four-track EP provided a real insight into the duo's burgeoning sound. A remix of Li-Polymer's Silence Between Us in April 2016 showed a new set of skills and it is with genuine pleasure that we welcome back Sapiens and Springa with an innovative reworking of Here Now. Retaining the essence of the original through its vocal cut and melodic motif, a hypnotic two-note bass line ploughs a relentless path through proceedings. As a collage of additional production sits within a deep techno framework, both pitched and textured chord progressions supply clever variation in an interpretation of impressive skill, technique and ingenuity.
