A new artist to grace the Particles catalogue, Aeikus delivers his brand new Eros / Juno EP. Remixes comes from a quartet of new and highly regarded artists. A new artist to the world of progressive house and melodic techno, Aeikus made his debut on Clubsonica Records with May 2018's Talk About Stars. Going on to find his work featured on Stellar Fountain, Soundteller and Massive Harmony, Particles is delighted to welcome him to the label. Eros is a beautifully sculpted affair that builds relentlessly through pounding beat, ticking off-beat percussion and a single sixteenth note passage. Hitting its mark with machine-gun fire phrases that sit alongside richly layered pitched effects, the 9-minute affair showcases the Brazilian's work. Juno is a more subtle affair with its complex groove and strong melodic motifs that add a touch of class and verve to proceedings. A strong bassline adds further depth and texture in a work that continues to build upon the Brazilian artist's growing reputation. Little introduction is needed as Rick Pier O'Neil once again demonstrates his unique skill and talent. An artist who has worked with a galaxy of stars, O'Neil has become a regular on the Particles and Proton Music roster with a plethora of material and collaborations with the likes of Desaturate. Continuing the driving feel of the original, a heavy rhythmic framework provides the foundation for a running bassline to flourish while rich chord progression and intelligent use of Aeikus' original components creates a new and exciting character to Rick Pier O'Neil's work. A debutant to the Particles artist roster, Dubai resident, Chihaka, has delivered an intelligent reworking that focuses on GMJ's central melodic motif. Developing with ease in hypnotic fashion, an intricate percussive framework keeps energy high while a glorious pitch-bent bassline makes its presence felt from the mid-point onwards to create a dynamic driving energy in the third movement. The result is a highly impressive debut offering from Chihaka. Based in Barcelona but originally from Sao Paolo, Pedro Capelossi has seen his reputation gather momentum since a February 2018 debut for Stereo Enchained. An accomplished DJ with performances across his home and adopted cities, Pedro has been a regular on Stellar Fountain, Electronic Tree and BC2. A debut on Winter Particles 2019 with NOIYSE PROJECT saw Myth in Manaus shine as Pedro now provides a moment of magic with a huge bassline that hits like a mule. Before long, the soft refrains of Catharsis filter into sonic range juxtaposed in the first half against a sixteenth-note pattern. A dominant kick makes its presence felt like variations on the central themes of the original play throughout in delicate plucked patterns. The final Brazilian to take his place on the release finds Ge Bruny reworking the inspiring melodies and strong rhythms that have characterised over a century of productions credits for such leading imprints as ICONYC, Or Two Strangers and Dear Deer. Making his Particles debut, the Ge Bruny remix immediately excites with its driving dancefloor groove and thumping beat. Melodic elements come courtesy of the Catharsis central motif as the Brazilian builds additional and complementary phrasing around it through melodic clave groove that then opens up into glorious new sustained lead phrase at the breakdown. Intermittent vocal cuts add intrigue throughout as the track hits its stride in the third movement in impressive fashion.
