With his sunshine smile and beautiful voice, 19-year-old Afalean finished in fourth place for the first season of Taiwan's immensely popular singing program One Million Star. Better known as Xiao Mei, a reference to his aboriginal Amis background, Afalean has a wide- ranging, comforting voice that draws from aboriginal folk, gospel, and R&B influences. After participating in the first Million Star album, Afalean struck out on his own and signed with Sony BMG, graduating from the Million Star crew with his solo debut. Afalean's new album comes with ten tracks including touching ballad "Centrifugal Force" (Track 3), signature R&B number Don't Say No, and "If I Knew At First, Love" (Track 1), the theme song to the new period drama Tian Long Ba Bu.
