He ║ ║ also had a great interest in graffiti and was a very talented and well ║ ║ known graffiti artist. ║ ║ 1986 however, when Affie was 14 was to be the year that changed the course ║ ║ of his life forever - he discovered House music, and the whole new way of ║ ║ life that accompanied it, he began going out to all the early London House ║ ║ clubs and truly felt as though he had found the reason for his existence. ║ ║ House music was to dominate Affie's life from that moment on. ║ ║ ║ ║ In 1988, still only 16, Affie began experimeting with synths, drum machines ║ ║ and samplers. This continued for the next few years, as he began buying ║ ║ whatever bits of studio equipment he could, until in 1993 it all paid off ║ ║ when he released his debut EP as the first release on UK Ferox Records - ║ ║ This was Acid Waves 1, which along with Affie's follow up releases, put ║ ║ Ferox firmly on the techno map. ║ ║ ║ ║ Affie has since released on numerous labels from all around the globe, ║ ║ however, in 1995, Affie wanted more - He decided that he wanted to start ║ ║ his own label - House of 909 for House, and sister label 909 Pervertions ║ ║ catering for the more techno side of things. House of 909 was a immediate ║ ║ success and the press absolutely loved it. In 1996, Affie was approached by ║ ║ UK Pagan Records and a deal was struck and a couple of very successful ║ ║ albums as well as various 12"s followed, including remixes by the likes of ║ ║ 16B, Cevin Fisher, Terry Francis and Glasgow Underground to name but a few. ║ ║ The critically acclaimed album 'The Children We Were' was a high-light of ║ ║ Affie's career and this sent House of 909 as well as Pagan into orbit. ║ ║ ║ ║ Affie's next move was to team up with Paul at Swag Records, and began ║ ║ releasing his solo works on several of Pauls House labels, including Swag, ║ ║ Funknose and LHB, which triggered a partnership which continues to go from ║ ║ strength to strength. One of Af's favorite acts he has worked on for ║ ║ Funknose is Parkwalker, which he would like to release an album under soon. ║ ║ ║ ║ Af'fie is still working closely with Pagan Records, recording with Former ║ ║ House of 909er Trevor Loveys as 'Traffik'. They have already release ║ ║ several 12"s and a album called 'The New Chapter' in January.
