It was a parody of the long-running ABC-TV soap opera General Hospital. The group's lineup was Rebecca Hall, Janet Powell, Robalee Barnes, and Suzanne Boucher. "General Hospi-Tale" went to number 23 R&B, number 33 pop on Billboard charts in summer 1981.
