Ai-Yan is a mix of Atmospheric , Melodic, Depressing and a pinch of Traditional 80-90s black metal. We pull influences from bands like sadness, Drowning the Light , Woods of desolation , Life , furthermore Zhang Wu-fei and "J" have their own influences. Our EP "I want to forget our memories" was recorded in the humid summer of July 2020 in Taiwan mainly at dawnless studios in Taichung J being the mastermind of recording mixing and mastering. The name Ai-Yan was chosen for its uniqueness it was used in ancient Chinese poetry to express "melancholic sorrow" J will most likely always be all instruments and recordings but we both have aspirations of Zhang being bass/and Vocals. but for the time being and for the seeable future J will handle that ... even if Zhang does bass J will still be the one that writes the instruments.
