Release Note ......::
Best known for his output on Semantica, Aikens production output has also
graced the likes of Chronicle, Non Series, M_Rec and his own Timeline imprint
since his debut in 2010 and hes won support from across the techno scene for
his tight, enthralling grooves.
Stratums title track opens the EP with real intent. Packed with the delayed ebb
and flow of percussive melodies, its a track that walks the line between tough
and intoxicating with ease which is something of a feature of the EP as a
whole. Outline, complete with cavernous reverb and looping keys makes for a
sinister, late night second cut while Flange dries things up with a more
direct, incessant sound which sonically sits between its precursors. The Madrid
based producer wraps up the Stratum EP with the suitably intense Recurrence,
aptly displaying his knack for delivering precise, balanced dance floor
workouts.
