It all starts with the 2000 release of Drifted Into Deeper Lands. This is the continuation of the audio journey into the arid southwestern regions of the US thru the use of sound and minimal rhythmic manipulations. Review: "Eolian Reflections" makes a great addition to the ever expanding collection of high-quality ambient/space music by Gregory Kyryluk, aka Alpha Wave Movement. Gregory states the outcome is a purely unconscious follow-up to the 2000 release "Drifted Into Deeper Lands", as it is once more inspired by the timeless arid and unpretentiously living breathing open vistas of the Southwestern United States. Well, a profound feel of grace and serenity are the key elements in the six smoothly evolving and morphing celestial pieces, that features a delicate use of electronic percussion. Besides glimpses of melody, thereÆs also an organic touch flying by occasionally, as can be heard in the expansive soundings of "Cliff Dwellers Dominion", that ends with fierce cosmic winds. I absolutely love the immersive, highly introspective and timeless nature of these nicely crafted, cinematic ambient sceneries that make the mind of the listener wander and feel at ease. "Eolian Reflections" is a great invitation to explore the wonders and spectacular of the great wide open. So karg wie das Coverfoto, eine scheinbar "Lebewesen-Unfreundliche-Steppe", so unterkuhlt kommt die Musik auch ruber. Nur ganz leichte Melodien bauen sich auf den Flachen auf, Halleffekte sorgen fur die spharische Stimmung..... typische Soundscapes wie wir sie fur diese Musikrichtung mogen. -Eolian Reflections- ist sicherlich nicht die beste CD von Alpha Wave Movement, aber Freunde des Deep-Ambient-Stils werden aber sicher Gefallen daran finden.
