RELEASE NOTES ..:: ] ............................ In November 2014, Andre Sobota unleashed yet another cross-genre masterpiece to widespread critical acclaim in the shape of Signal. Already receiving standout remixes from Tim Penner and Santiago Garcia on Proton Music, it is now the turn of Particles to release its own remix edition with remixes from two of the Netherlands hottest rising talents. Huminal's rise to underground dance prominence has been nothing short of miraculous. Former school friends and basketball teammates, Paul Deetman and Jelle Jansen have ridden a wave of success and creativity few can rival. The catalyst for such success stemming from victory in the Demolition contest at 2011's ADE under the watchful eyes of Marc Romboy and Paul Hamill, the pair has performed at some of the biggest clubs in their home country's capital, including Paradiso, Sugar Factory and Club AIR. A rapidly expanding production portfolio has seen Lowbit, Mango Alley and FutureForm become home to their distinctive and mature production style with the Prophecies EP on the latter proving a spur for success in a debut to remember. The Acrophobia EP on Particles was a significant highlight in the label's 2014 release calendar as the Pocket Universe EP in March 2015 continued that triumphant trend. A sublime interpretation of Lank's Parameters is now followed by a second remix, in the shape of scintillating rework of Signal. With clever reference to Sobota's melodic phrasing, an intelligent rewiring of these themes makes the Huminal remix instantly identifiable as a new take on the original with rolling, dance floor ready beats, percussion, and a energy and vitality that is as pulsating as it is spine-tingling. Rising from similar blue chip credentials, Menno Hornman has performed similar feats of production excellence to his Dutch counterparts. Producing under his Mohn (NL) guise, Hornman immediately drew attention to himself as a winner of the Italian Alchemy 2011 production contest with his track Triebwerk, judged by none other than Mauro Picotto. Repeating the success again in 2012, Mohn's work has gone on to be featured on such impressive imprints as BC2 and Electronic Tree, with a further impressive contribution to Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeats Volume 2 in June 2014. A Particles career that has seen the best-selling Chymera, part of Summer Particles 2014, receive its own full release courtesy of remixes from Chris Johnson and Aerofoil, now sees a follow up remix of Johnson himself with a typically impressive reworking of Signal. A strong rhythm section and driving beat provides the backbone for a subtle revision of Andre Sobota's melodic work in a variety of forms as a thumping, side-chain compressed bass line pounds its way to prominence in open filtered glory. A refined grittiness applied to a lacerating lead completes the picture in impressive fashion.
