His position at Release Records has ensured that Angus is always armed to the teeth with the freshest selection of new tunes, promos, and CDRs, the likes of which are in very high demand among fellow DJs. From there it was only a matter of time before Angus, who was being billed under his Madhatter alias at the time, became a staple of the breakbeat scene in Toronto where his nu school breakbeat influences went against, and allowed him to stand out from, the funky breaks that were the norm. Bengston Bengston is one of Switzerland's busiest breakbeat movers. He travels the country and Europe alike to play his own blend of chunky, bassheavy beat finery. It was in 1996, when Bengston got his set of Turntables and started buying vinyl. He played Hip Hop, Drum n Bass and Big Beat before discovering release No.1 on Adam Freeland's Marine Parade label in Summer 1998 on a four week visit to Brighton. From then on he was hooked to what people used to call nu skool breaks. He prefers to simply call it breaks with the odd tech house tune thrown in for good measure.
