After being showcased at the New Music West Conference that year, the band proceeded to record a four song EP,which produced the radio single Endorphins that found a slot in rotation on 107.3 Extreme FM. That summer the Armchair cynics were invited to join the western leg of the Export ûA & Coors Light Motorcross Tour where they warmed up the crowds for Juno award winners Ghetto concept . The single Endorphins was featured on the freestyle segment of the Canadian Extreme Motorcross Series national television program which aired regularly throughout the year. The Cynics have since shared the stage with such bands as Edwin & The Pressure, Stabilo Boss, The Jack Union, Retrograde , and Flybanger In the fall of 2002, Armchair Cynics aquired a new guitarist and drummer. With the changed lineup the guys immediately began writing and recording new material,and soon after released the Capitalize single. The band found airplay on 91.3 the zone fm in Victoria and were featured as a band of the month for November. In early January 2003 the Armchair cynics submitted the song Capitalize into an international web site called Garageband.com .With more than 250,000 songs being reviewed and ranked the song Capitalize has managed to take the number 3 spot in the pop/rock genre( check it out yourself @ Garageband.com).Most recently the group has just finished their first full length album ready for release in early April, tour plans are in the works for spring.
