Part of the quintet of tracks that comprised the Sunord EP in July 2015, Russian producer, Artem Kalalb, displayed a slice of melodic sunshine to critical acclaim. Now, an integral part of that EP is given its own full release as Limb receives remixes a Hungarian master and Argentinean flair. A man responsible for defining a sound, Gabor Kovacs, through his Aeron Aether alter ego, has been responsible for a plethora of high-profile productions, most notably on the Silk Music imprint, where he made his solo original debut through 2009's Aeron is Coming EP. An accomplished cellist, Aeron Aether's penchant for symphonic elements has been transferred to his immaculate productions giving them a rich and textured sheen that saw trance icon, Matt Darey, name him 'breakthrough DJ/producer' in both 2009 and 10. Former head of AandR for successful Silk offshoot, Arrival, his engineering accomplishments for the entire Silk Music output offered a polished layer to the label's output. His work, supported from the great and good of the music industry including Marcus Schossow, Jaytech and Richard Durand, Aeron Aether's work for Proton Music has included standout reworkings of Andre Sobota and Mango, while a quartet of remixes for Particles is now further augmented by a reinterpretation of Artem Kalalb. Taking his trademark symphonic approach, a rich chorus of melodic layers are blended across a delightful groove and stomping beat. As the track launches post-breakdown, a huge pulsating bass line gives added character to an innovative, storming rework of Limb. Argentinean, Juan Astudillo, is a man with an impressive production pedigree to his name, witnessed by a debut release in the shape of the full-length album Don't Make Me Destroy You for Bellarine Recordings in 2008. A tour de force through the underground progressive house scene, Astudillo put down a marker for subsequent production material that would take shape over the course of an active 2015. A clutch of original productions for the likes of Lowbit, MNL and Mistique Music have seen the Amenhecer, Kanikoom and Cuepoint EPs receive celebrated support from Hernan Cattaneo, Sonic Union and East Caf. Now making his Particles debut, the Juan Astudillo remix of Limb sees an evocative offering resonate with sinister prowess as he takes Kalalb's original elements transporting them into a work of ingenuity and skill. A strong bass line repeats throughout while percussive house rhythms and a deliciously plucked arpeggio line combine to intelligent effect and seething dance floor prowess. Artem Kalab is certainly not out on a Limb with a pair of new remixes from Aeron Aether and Juan Astudillo.
