Podgorica, Montenegro based DJ and producer Ognjen Vukovic aka AudioStorm is back with a trio of progressive house gems on his latest EP titled The Resurrection. This on follows his very well received The Day When I Left which was his second album for Bonzai Progressive. From his early childhood he was fascinated by music. He enjoyed its energy and beauty and it was that which made him decide to follow a career in electronic music. He quickly realised that he had to absorb as many different genres of music as possible and became obsessed with several bands. By the beginning of the 90s, as grunge rock took over, he turned his attention towards the pioneering electronic bands of the burgeoning underground dance scene and in particular the music that was coming from Goa, India. Psy-Trance, as it became known, was for AudioStorm a diverse, forward thinking, adventurous mix of eastern and western cultures and new and older sounds. A melting pot of possibilities. It was listening to this music which inspired him to begin to explore more progressive sounds. As his interest in electronic music grew, he began to write his own tracks. He has a diverse range of releases from Progressive House and Techno to Chill-Out, Lounge and Indie Dance. This clearly indicates a talented producer who does not let genre boundaries cloud his musical vision. The Resurrection is an enchanting and beautifully rich, deep progressive slice that lures you in with an enticing, sublime intro. An electro style percussion follows some nice chunky kick drums as swirling pads float overhead. The sounds blend effortlessly creating a utopia filled with lush bass tones and finely tuned note changes. Truly hypnotic and driving, top notch. Subliminal Message deep and mesmerizing from the outset. The groove moves with a smooth momentum, carrying us into a wonderfully sublime atmosphere thanks to beautifully crafted sounds. Subtle melodies are set against a deep bassline and ever-evolving pads that captivate. A fantastic nine minutes of blissful progressive house that will definitely keep the party moving, not to be missed. Cosmos Inside You carries on the trait of this magical EP, keeping us hooked on the groove with a variety of instruments, dishing out a flurry of melodies along the way. Delicately poised, the groove is heart-warming, bringing a sense of euphoria thanks to its blissful qualities. Rich textures and contrasting elements paint a surreal picture.
