Splat and Chris met at Burning Man in 2017. The BackstoryDisco tracks started as a collaboration between two close friends (Splat and Chris) based on trippy voicemails left by them, deciding to put some hypnotic beats over the crazy lyrics and poetic madness they were hearing. This eventually culminated into a number of tracks being released on record labels spanning across the USA, Spain, and Germany. True to their nature, they continue to work via cell phone voicemails only and have no plans to use a legitimate studio for recording vocals ever because they like to keep it weird. Kiss my apocalypse was made early on in the pandemic when there was still real uncertainty for what was going to come in the future for humanity. Everything felt post-apocalyptic, new, uncertain, and from that Kiss My Apocalypse was born.
