"I Can No Poet Be" | | conjures up images of smoky rooms and late nights - a psychedelic | | journey into Bajka's ethereal world, underpinned by a pulsing waltz | | style rhythm and eastern melodies - truly hypnotic, and more than ably | | accompanied by Das Goldenes Zeitalter, who take over on the B-Side for | | an extended workout on "Love's Serenity" -properly good spiritual jazz | | that wouldn't have been out of place on a Strata East or Tribe LP from | | the 70s. Its exciting to be able to release music of such high quality | | and great to know it's being made today - and although recorded a few | | years ago, this music can instantly be added to the shelf that is no | | doubt already heaving under the weight of your Sun Ra, Gary Bartz and | | Pharoah Sanders LP's.
