"Open Arms to Open Us" was a quicker ████ ████ process, and stands as a far more coherent ████ ████ work. Gay began writing the music in Spring ████ ████ 2020, as the world changed and we were all ████ ████ forced to reconsider our place in the world; ████ ████ "things have never been okay," he admits in an ████ ████ accompanying statement. What pulled him back ████ ████ from the brink was thinking about the future - ████ ████ his family, his young nieces and nephews - and ████ ████ Gay puts this into music by focusing on rhythm. ████ ████ "More than anything, IÆd like my babies to ████ ████ always trust in rhythm," he explains.
