Benny Soebardja's progress in the Indonesian music scene stems from a group called The Peels. The musical activity of The Peels was not long, however, this group has become an important part of the development of Indonesian music that is able to penetrate neighboring countries, namely Singapore and Malaysia. The Peels were first founded in 1966. Then they raised Sharkmove with their debut album Ghede Chokras.
