Things just kept going so I've been working on it. But over the | | summer I linked with my homie Lucky Seven and we ended up recording | | the bulk of the album at his spot. Actually when I went to L.A. I | | linked with my engineer Damon, he did Gallery. We basically got in | | the studio. We were at L.A. Recording School studio and finally got | | to record on big equipment and live that real studio life. | | ... | | The best way I can explain it is the album is like a conversational | | piece. It's really just explaining different things I've endured this | | year and prior years and it's all leading up into what is to come so | | in 2018 Gallery and Cafe will make even more sense when everything | | else comes with it. | | | | Another thing though, I worked with Lucky Seven on a couple of | | production tracks. He was just my homie, I been knew him and he's | | just like a dope emcee in the city and he's like a OG. I didn't even | | know produced. One day I went to his studio to record something Mitch | | [Mitch Arizona] had gave me and as I'm like prepping up the beat, | | he's playing me his songs. We rolling up, smoking, he's playing me | | the beats and I'm listening. So every time I came over he would play | | me a new beat and I would make a new song. That actually got me in | | the process of recording a song everyday so throughout the summer I | | was in the studio every single day, whether it was 2 hours, an hour, | | 4 hours, I was in the studio every day, recording everyday, every | | single time. From that we got a gang of songs that was outside of | | Cafe that allowed me to write even more and even better when it came | | time to go back to Cafe. There's a lot of songs from Cafe that came | | through those sessions and after those sessions. His production and | | Mitch's and Monk's [Camoflauge Monk] is just like stupid.
