About 320CBR
"Why encode in 320kbps ?", is a question a lot of people are
going to be asking themselves. The answer is simple:
Why settle for less when you can have more ?
Sure, VBR is good, and 320CBR fully respects the
groups that are currently ripping that bitrate. But
with the proper setup, you can actually tell the difference
between VBR and 320kbps CBR. Also, the size of a VBR encode
compared to a 320kbps CBR encode is not that different - the
quality however is, and it's not like harddrives/DVD-R discs
are wickedly expensive today .. more like the opposite. So
why not up the quality since it's possible without upping the
size a whole lot ?
And if you are planning on converting it and burning the release
as an audio CD - the result is going to be better the higher the
quality of the source is .. especially with the kick-ass sound
systems some people have (rich bastards!).
The releases are internal, because the scene doesn't allow
320kbps CBR for MP3 releases - not because anything is wrong
with them.
We put quality as THE #1 priority. Feel free to think that what
we're doing here is lame and/or overkill, but don't forget that
no one is forcing you to download our releases, so just chill,
lean back, and enjoy life as it is :)
