His last trip to │▓║ ║▓│ London spawned a massive deep driving progressive tune while shacked │▓║ ║▓│ up in Sumsonic's studio for days with fellow producer Mark O'Brien │▓║ ║▓│ (aka Darko of the Sleepfreaks). Also several trips to San Francisco │▓║ ║▓│ turned into the "Grip Tape Ep," a collaboration with fellow │▓║ ║▓│ skate-rats Jondi & Spesh (of Bedrock & Renaissance fame) to be │▓║ ║▓│ released on Mechanism Records UK. While at home Brian worked with │▓║ ║▓│ newcomer Alex Gardel to brew up the twisted "Unknown" which has │▓║ ║▓│ already been featured on Kiss 100 by John Digweed himself and │▓║ ║▓│ licensed to Imago Gramaphone Switzerland, the label headed by this │▓║ ║▓│ year's hottest producer (and avid hotdog fan) - Chab! The duo also │▓║ ║▓│ completed remixes for Dave Seager (of Orgin / Avid fame) on │▓║ ║▓│ Undercurrent UK and Medway vs. Pete Gawtry's new one on Progress Inn │▓║ ║▓│ UK. Other projects in the works are with Chris Cargo of Choo Choo │▓║ ║▓│ Records and fellow DJ Louis Osbourne (yes, as in the son of Ozzy │▓║ ║▓│ damnit!). │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▓│ Steven S │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▓│ Music, the recurring passion in his life, or the security of a │▓║ ║▓│ career in business were the two options that Steven S faced in 1997. │▓║ ║▓│ The decision to take the path less trodden came easily and within a │▓║ ║▓│ year, he was throwing down his mojo on the hottest floors in Z├╝rich │▓║ ║▓│ including the "Yellow" nights with DJ Gogo (Cyber Records, NL); │▓║ ║▓│ their dirty, sexy beats becoming the heartbeat of the Swiss │▓║ ║▓│ progressive scene. With the Yellow nights getting high and moving │▓║ ║▓│ into Z├╝rich's new and notorious Club Q and residencies being │▓║ ║▓│ offered in all the right places, the "all-or-nothing" Mr S decided │▓║ ║▓│ the time was nigh to take his banzai to the next level. │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▓│ It's 2002 and Steven S's ascendancy as an artist goes absolutely │▓║ ║▓│ ballistic. Having joined fellow Club Q resident Peter Lavelle in his │▓║ ║▓│ studio in 1999, they get on like a house on fire and all hell breaks │▓║ ║▓│ loose. One project turns to two: Loader for full-gas dance tracks │▓║ ║▓│ and Smith & Lavelle for the deep and dirty beats for which they are │▓║ ║▓│ both so well known. In parallel, an energetic session for his solo │▓║ ║▓│ Steven S project in Chab's Geneva studio produces "The Shadow" which │▓║ ║▓│ elicited personal invitations from Satoshi Tomiie and Hector Romero │▓║ ║▓│ (SAW Rec USA) as well as hitting the Massive Records Imported charts │▓║ ║▓│ at number 2. In the few months around January 2002 alone, no less │▓║ ║▓│ than 6 tracks will have been released on the labels four:twenty │▓║ ║▓│ records (UK), pod records (UK), Geneva's Imago Records and Zurich's │▓║ ║▓│ Tribal Tribe Records. │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▓│ Now, with Loader's monster "Nothing is . . .", having been caned for │▓║ ║▓│ the last several months by the likes of Digweed, Sasha, Anthony │▓║ ║▓│ Pappa and Timo Maas, making it onto the "God's Kitchen Three" │▓║ ║▓│ compilation due in March, you'll be hearing more of Steven S! │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║█├──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤█║ ╠╣├════════════════════════════[ TRACKLiST ]═════════════════════════════┤╠╣ ║█├──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤█║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▓│ 01 60:45 Brian Stillwater - The Deep End - 02-03-2003 │▓║ ║▓│ 02 77:10 Steven S - The Deep End - 02-03-2003 │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║█├──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤█║ ╠╣├════════════════════════════[ GROUP iNFO ]════════════════════════════┤╠╣ ║█├──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤█║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▓│ PRG is dedicated to spreading quality progressive mixes to those │▓║ ║▓│ who appreciate them. │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▓│ │▓║ ║▒│ │▒║ ║░│ │░║ ╚═╩════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ ║█│ ▀▀▀██████▓▓█ ████░░▓███▄ ▓████ █▓▓██████▀▀▀ │█║ ║█│ ▄▄▄▄▄▄█ █░ █░ ▓█░ █ ▓█░ █▄▄▄▄▄▄ │█║ ║█│ ▀▀▀▀█ ████░ ▓███▄ ▓████ █▀▀▀▀ │█║ ║█│ ▀█▓█ █░ ▓█ █ ▓█ █ █▓█▀ │█║ ║█│ ▄█ █ ▄▄▄▄ █ █ █▄▄█ █▄ '02 │█║ ║█├──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤█║
