I know it because it has a cover of Wood, Brass & SteelÆs Hey, WhatÆs That You Say on it, which happens to be a cover of the Skull SnapsÆ ItÆs A New Day. ThereÆs a shout out to Wood, Brass & Steel on the back of the album, and if you check the credits it appears that the group wrote half of the songs on In The Bottle. Out of their other compositions for the LP, the closing If He Can Do It (You Can Do It) is probably the best. The title cut is also a cover of the Gil Scott-Heron tune, which was a hit for the band. Michael Burton originally formed Brother To Brother in St. Louis. The rest of the album isnÆt as interesting, although the singer does his best to sound like Sly Stone.
