Varg Vikernes is no matter ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ what a prominent figure and his Burzum is ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ outstanding. ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ The album is great. The general feeling of ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ the album has become rather thoughtful and ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ steady. It still retains evil, but a dark ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ and mysterious evil. From this album, ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ Vikernes shows melancholy of his works that ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ will further evolve in following albums. It ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ has 8 brilliant tracks, out of which four ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ are fully arranged black metal songs with ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ vocals, guitars etc. They kill literally the ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ mind. Black metal, indeed. ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ For example, my favourite song is "En Ring ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ Til ┼ Herske" which in Norwegian means "One ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ Ring to Rule". This song is the most melodic ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ of all Burzum songs, in my opinion. I guess ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ that everyone understood that the title ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ refers to the ill ring of Tolkien's renowned ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ book "The Lord of the Rings". It should have ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ been included in the soundtrack of the ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ album, but they would never allow Vikernes ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ to appear on their sweet soundtrack. Forget ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ them. "The Lost Wisdom", "Key to the Gate" ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ and "Snu Mikrokosmos Tegn" are great songs, ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ too. ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ Other four are instrumental. The opening ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ track "Den Onde Kysten" resembles ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ "Channelling the Power of Souls into a New ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ God" of the previous album "Aske". An ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ ambient song performed on keyboards. "Svarte ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ Troner" is something dark that you will hear ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ again on "Filosofem" album. "Han Som Reiste" ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ is an anthem, a real anthem, I say to you. ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ All hail the anthem! Nσr Himmelen Klarner" ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ is an instrumental piece of guitars, basses ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ and drums. ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ Vikernes demonstrates his killing, ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ shrieking, screaming, dying vocals that are ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ of a great fame in black metal. Guitars have ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ become a lot thicker than in "Aske". Drums ▓█ ████████████████████████████████▓ and basses rule.
