Producer Scott Harding, best known for his recent work with Medeski, Martin & Wood accompanied Charlie in the studio. The album will be titled 'Right Now Move' and will be out on Ropeadope Records. No release date is set yet. The band lineup for this release is: John Ellis (tenor saxophone) Some of you may be familiar with tenor saxophonist John Ellis who has been with Charlie's band for the past year. Ellis has also played with the likes of Jason Marsalis and Harold Battiste. He recently came in second place in the prestigious 2002 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition. Curtis Fowlkes (trombone) Curtis is no stranger to the jazz world. Most notably known for his work with John Lurie's Lounge Lizards and as being a co-founder of New York's own Jazz Passengers, Fowlkes has also played an integral part in working with such established musicians as Bill Frisell, Elvis Costello, Don Byron and Brian Blade. Gregoire Maret (chromatic harmonica) Some of you in New York City might have caught Gregoire jamming with Charlie at the Analog Playground record release party at the Bowery Ballroom back in September. The chromatic harp will be a unique addition to Charlie's band, but Maret is up for the job having already established himself playing with the likes of Little Jimmy Scott, Jacky Terrasson and Leon Parker. Derrek Phillips (drums) Under the encouragement of his musically inclined parents, Derrek C. Phillips began drum set lessons at the age of six.
