The first release on Nikko.Z's Dopamine White finds Christopher Fafa launching the label with a new single entitled 'Fourty'. Acting as a companion to Dopamine Music, the White division will focus on progressive music's freshest up and coming talent with an emphasis on quality and creativity. Already a member of the Dopamine family, Christopher Fafa provides the inaugural 'White' release alongside a remix from Lucas Rossi. Beginning with the original mix Christopher aims squarely at a peak time progressive minded dance floor. Warm beats and a fluid low end power the foundation while astral stabs and organic drums provide rhythm and swing. Devilish hypnotic, wispy effects adorn the framework as smooth chord changes shift gears into more emotive territory. The main break melts down to the synth elements for a spacey yet tension filled interlude, perfectly setting up a smooth finale. Christopher has also included a second version entitled the 'Age Is Only Numbers' Mix, which has the groove open up and the drums play a more prominent role in the narrative. The emotive response elicited from the original is very much present here as well, with gorgeous chord changes and melodic fragments working in harmonic unison. The release concludes with Lucas Rossi providing the lone interpretation of 'Fourty'. With a discography that includes appearances on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Antrim's Or Two Strangers, the Hernan Cattaneo favourite now lands on Dopamine White with an amazing remix of 'Fourty'. Anchored by a warm, rippling groove and detailed percussion, there's a smooth yet electric mood from the outset. Like most Lucas Rossi productions space and flow are at a premium, with tranquil arps and tepid tones sitting in a perfect sonic marriage, before the main break adds a quirky flair, setting up a purring finale. A super remix from Lucas which caps off what is an auspicious start for Nikko.Z's Dopamine White, who look to be an ideal companion for the long running Dopamine Music.
