BiO DJ EMJAY.. Emjay is a guy, who literally eats and sleeps between his records. It was his absolute passion for good music that eventually triggered him to become a DJ. Now he serves crowds around the globe with some of the best records money can buy. ItÆs been almost five years ago now that Emjay started his career as a professional DJ. His first serious gig was at the Escape Venue in downtown Amsterdam. Emjay was able to control his nerves, and he made a lasting impression in front of a demanding crowd. Emjay quickly established a name for himself, drawing in big crowds on a weekly basis. The promoters of this clubnight recognised the impeccable talents of Emjay and drafted him as one of their weekly resident DJ's. Ever since, Emjay has put his spell on the KREMLIN crowd. Over the past two years, Emjay played alongside the likes of Steve Lawler, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Howells, Pete Tong, Tiδsto, Sander Kleinenberg, just to name a few. Furthermore, Ministry of Sound even nominated KREMLIN for æBest International Club 2001, which is quite remarkable for a brand new club night. Operating around progressive housemusic, Emjay is dedicated to fresh, new sounds that are appreciated by a music-loving audience. In the summer of 2001, Emjay played at the internationally acclaimed Dance Valley Festival, where organization KREMLIN hosted a huge tent. Emjay showcased his talents in front of thousands of clubbers. In addition, KREMLIN has hosted several parties in association with both UK organization Ministry of Sound as well as US organization Spundae. On these occasions, Emjay was always one of the headliners. During the summer of 2001, for instance, Emjay travelled across the Atlantic Ocean, where organizations KREMLIN and Spundae hooked up for two events. On this trip, Emjay made his astounding DJ skills clear to the clubbers of Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as he rocked the parties at both Circus and Club Ra. His unique style and emotive sound, combined with his astounding technical capabilities, make Emjay the next big thing to emerge from the Netherlands and to reach global stardom. So beware, as Emjay spreads his wings in 2002. Besides his gigs at clubs and parties, Emjay is also a regular guest DJ at Radio 538's pioneering æDance DepartmentÆ show, where DJ's such as Tiesto, Sander Kleinenberg, Kevin Saunderson, Paul Oakenfold, and many other superstar DJ's made guest appearances over the past few years. Emjay is definitely high in demand, as he's also starting to appear on ID&T Radio's DJ roster more frequently.
