Besides national and worldwide respect for his extreme dj skills, he is also well known as a succesfull producer and remixer. In 1988 he started out as hiphop dj and won the national mixing championships. Then, in the early nineties, he changed from hiphop to clubmusic and started playing at numerous parties and events troughout the country, as well as a residency (for ten years) at the world famous IT club in Amsterdam. This resulted in winning the prestigous "dutch dance music award" for two years in a rowas well as several nominations in other years. Probably because of his residencies in clubs for years he developed a very wide and various taste of dance music varying from groovy and uplifting stuff to hardhouse and trance. Due to his ability to play different styles so well and being an incredible technician as well, Jean played at every major event in Holland such as: Innercity, Sensation, Dance Valley, Trance Energy, Impulz, etc,etc.! Besides his 20 compilations (such as "IT vol.1 to 9, "Madhouse", and the new series "super dj'), which were all booming chart successes, and although he is not a "real" producer (80 percent dj and 20 percent producer as he says himself!), he suddenly came up with "The launch"! Produced in collabaration with Klubbheads, this originally as a for the dancefloors produced track became an incredible and worldwide club anthem and chart succes selling close to a million copies!!
