Moshe Tartakovski) began spinning records when he was 15 years old. Nine years later, he finds himself playing regularly on the Israeli club circuit. His sets vary from deep, funky house to the very best in progressive. Rollo has played at virtually every dance music venue in Israel, including Ku-Millenium, Alenby 58, Fetish, Move, Octopus, Ays and Haoman 17, and he now holds a bi-weekly residency at mini club Leila. "I just want to play all over the world," notes Rollo, "and meet as many people in the industry as possible." When he's not spinning at one of Israel's many underground clubs, Rollo divides the majority of his time between the studio and his computer. Online, Rollo has managed to make contacts around the world as well as keep up to date with the latest releases, long before they hit the shelves of record stores (and having some of his country's biggest producers as friends doesn't hurt when it comes to getting up front releases.) Ask Rollo about his influences, and he'll drop names such as, Danny Tenaglia, Desyn Masiello, Leon Roberts, DJ Vibe, Lee Burridge and Deep Dish. Don't be surprised if in a short while his studio work ends up in one - if not all - of their record boxes. Recently he started to produce his own music, along with his partner Double Du. Their first remix was for the classic tune Solar Plexus - Solar Plexus and was signed to 16b and Desyn Masiello's new label, Sex on Wax. The duo's second project was a remix of Barbar Brown - Damello. The mix is forthcoming Desyn's private label, Alternative Route. Rollo also teamed up with buddy Rafi Z. Together they formed Snowflake and produced a track for Joshua Collins' new label Frink 'n Frank Records. The release, "Magnetic Grooves," will be out at the end of the summer. Rollo now has his own bi-weely show, Magnetic Grooves, on Proton Radio where he plays his trademark deep/dark/dirty/sexy sound and hosts different DJs and producers from all over the globe. And as if that weren't enough, Rollo is now a music reviewer for a new Italian publication called "Dub Underground," a magazine dedicated to covering all aspects of European underground dance music.
