He is born in 1973 in Germany and grew up in a musical family, piano lessons from the age of 4 to 16, starting DJing + producing music in 1995, 2001 first album with GMO" "Einblick" / Nova Tekk. 2004 second GMO album "Groovy day" / Yellow Sunshine Explosion. 2007 he released his so far last album under the name GMO also on YSE. 2009 he changed the style and the name and relesed his first Minoru album on IONO Music. Minuro is the Japanese word for "seed" or "naked truth". Therefore Olaf consequently bounded his music on the constituents of modern electronic music - you will listen to decent but driving basslines, warm melodies combined with tricky sound details, constructed in tidy arrangements. Minoru's music is based on Olaf's musical education and his mellowed technical skills. His debut album is a collection of 10 warm and intelligent tracks, presented as modern electro and techno grooves, but never forgetting his roots in trance. Influenced by GMO's unique defined style, this amazing album can be either enjoyed at home or on the misty-eyed progressive trance floor. With no doubt Minoru will be your swinging companion for a long time. About Dense: Working as a DJ and musician since 1993 he's been spinning acidizing rhythms and kicked the crowd with exhausting psychedelic trance music. Consequent grooves with kickin' melodies shaped his sets on European dancefloors. Successful with techno and ambient releases in the mid 90's, he's additionally been working as a reporter and photographer for German music magazines like Frontpage, X-Mag, Loop and others. Over the years Dense used to organize several techno and trance events in Germany (D'vents). In 2008 he refined his striking style of performing progressive ambient music. Luckily he took his ability to play the right music at the right time from the dancefloor to the chill out floor. Meanwhile Dense is one of the most popular ambient DJs in Germany - performing chillgressive style. Beside deejaying and after broadcasting the 6 a.m. Saturday morning chillout radio show on Trancefan Radio for years, since 2010 his homebase is Chromanova.fm, based in Berlin. He's responsible for the program on the Chromanova.fm Chillout and Ambient Radio stream where you can catch him exclusively on Sundays with his weekly four hour radio show "Chill On!", what is part and parcel of ambient music scene by now and supported by all important chill out labels. The chillgressive project together with GMO is working well with the second album release ??Tales From The Yellow Kangaroo??, out since September 2012 and Equation??, scheduled for July 2014. Single tracks like "?Remount" or "??Moonflower" have been released on compilations on Vimana Rec. and Altar Rec., his latest solo album "??Exhale" is out since July 2013.
