I decided to release this awesome cd from Gate 9 again as iNT, cuz it seems
totally underrated and has to jam upon all you stoner, doom, psychmetal fans out
there !
"Acid rock all the way man... Gate9 has a super psychedelic fuzzed out retro
70's vibe that sometimes reminds me of Monster Magnet's Spine of God, but this
is way more progressive in a sense. Not that Gate9 are that progressive, but
their songs are all part of a puzzle, hence the song titles of the 9 gates...
It's slamming hard groove/riff rock in the vein of Orange Goblin... Roachpowder,
but make no mistake... Gate9 has their own sound and approach that really is
unique in the big wash of the stoner sea. Great album that will get plenty of
play- If you like Orange Goblin, Early Monster Magnet, Terra Firma...Sabbath,
you will dig this. It's a mix of all that is classic 70's/stoner rock. Great
grooves and great long jams...long live rock."
