The title ▓███ ███▓ and the sound makes me think of the 1986 movie "Black Moon Rising", ▓███ ███▓ perfect for the scene where Tommy Lee Jones is following the stolen ▓███ ███▓ car. ▓███ ███▓ ôCosmic Raindropsö - This beautiful tune has wonderful echos and ▓███ ███▓ reverbs enhancing a dreamy yet driving trip through stellar clouds ▓███ ███▓ and nurseries. ▓███ ███▓ ôDesert Outrunö - Take Vangelis and Tangerine Dream and mash them ▓███ ███▓ up, and you'll get a vibe like this. Glenn's signature bass line ▓███ ███▓ sounds enhance an operatic song evoking thoughts of Blade Runner. ▓███ ███▓ ôYellow Walkmanö - The ditty in this is so catchy, with plucking ▓███ ███▓ synths and a somewhat dance rhythm. Most definitely a favourite of ▓███ ███▓ mine from the album. While the title says "Yellow Walkman", I get ▓███ ███▓ Airwolf feels from this song. ▓███ ███▓ ôFlight Modusö - This entry sounds pure Outrun, but with Glenn's ▓███ ███▓ perfect ability to really make it sound like it came from ▓███ ███▓ instruments of yesteryear. ▓███ ███▓ ôNew Connectionö - Dreamwave feels take the listener on a ▓███ ███▓ kaleidoscope trip through plucky synths and climactic chords. As ▓███ ███▓ always, the melody is supported by Glenn's signature bass lines and ▓███ ███▓ hooks. ▓███ ███▓ ôMotherö - A light airy tune, Mother features some guitar riffs ▓███ ███▓ that compliment a synthy melody that really evokes nostalgic ▓███ ███▓ memories of younger times. It's the longest track on the album, ▓███ ███▓ allowing it to take you on a trip full of memories and melancholy. ▓███ ███▓ ôBack2Basicsö - The title track from the album begins with a slow ▓███ ███▓ build and transitions into a driving beat and beautiful chords. The ▓███ ███▓ chorus punches with epic synth layers. ▓███ ███▓ ôNeon Ghostö - This is one of my favourite tracks from the album. ▓███ ███▓ Released as a single last year around that creepy time of year, the ▓███ ███▓ thumping bass lines in this remind me of Nitzer Ebb, but then you ▓███ ███▓ have this beautiful melody that gives the song a relevant spooky ▓███ ███▓ feel. ▓███ ███▓ ôSilent Snowstorm - Synthwave Editö - the final song on the album, ▓███ ███▓ it gives a nice close to a compilation chock full of great synth ▓███ ███▓ music. This track features beautiful piano notes providing a nice ▓███ ███▓ "end credits" feel perfect to wrap things up. ▓███ ███▓ There is no filler in this album. Glenn Main is an expert artist, ▓███ ███▓ and with his experience, every song is fully fleshed out. As stated ▓███ ███▓ earlier, you can really hear the influences he credited in his bio ▓███ ███▓ in almost every tune.
