The Metal God nickname is not hyperbole; it's █▓░█ █░▒█ stone cold fact. The latest release from the man himself is █▓░█ █░▒█ the DVD Live At Saitama Super Arena. Filmed in Japan in █▓░█ █░▒█ September 2010, the track listing boasts selections from █▓░█ █░▒█ HALFORD, FIGHT and of course the legendary JUDAS PRIEST all █▓░█ █░▒█ filmed in HD with 5.1 surround sound.The DVD kicks off █▓░█ █░▒█ straight into that trademark Rob wail that feeds into opening █▓░█ █░▒█ track Resurrection, from the debut HALFORD album of the same █▓░█ █░▒█ name. From the outset the band sounds great, both Roy Z and █▓░█ █░▒█ Metal Mike are highly accomplished guitarists and absolutely █▓░█ █░▒█ kill it onstage. As always, Rob is at the top of his game - █▓░█ █░▒█ he's got the reputation as one of the greatest front men in █▓░█ █░▒█ history for a reason. The delirious Japanese fans at this █▓░█ █░▒█ show are given the full spectacle and totally lap it up. █▓░█ █░▒█ █▓░█ █░▒█ Most of the 15 tracks are from HALFORD releases, there's one █▓░█ █░▒█ from Rob's FIGHT days (Nailed To The Gun) and we get a PRIEST █▓░█ █░▒█ trifecta towards the end of the set, which is capped off by █▓░█ █░▒█ the mighty Jawbreaker. This portion of the show is a definite █▓░█ █░▒█ highlight, along with one of HALFORD's newer tracks, █▓░█ █░▒█ Undisputed which features a crazy Roy Z axe solo that some █▓░█ █░▒█ guy in an ACCEPT T-shirt in the front row goes absolutely █▓░█ █░▒█ bananas over. █▓░█ █░▒█ █▓░█ █░▒█ The only drawback of this DVD is the editing - it's all over █▓░█ █░▒█ the shop. Most concert footage you see these days is cut █▓░█ █░▒█ rather crisply but this takes it to a ridiculous level. A █▓░█ █░▒█ multitude of cameras were used to film this and it appears as █▓░█ █░▒█ though the editor had a quota to meet on each one - the █▓░█ █░▒█ majority of shots only last a few seconds at most for the █▓░█ █░▒█ entire length of the video. I felt as though I was getting █▓░█ █░▒█ motion sickness at various points while watching this, the █▓░█ █░▒█ cuts are that quick.
