Their ║ │ │║ previous album sounded really like a mess, ║ │ │║ similar to KreatorÆs Endless Pain (1984) but you ║ │ │║ should have in mind that HermeticaÆs first album ║ │ │║ was not released in 1984 if not in 1989. Acido ║ │ │║ Argentino sounds fine but without being modern ║ │ │║ or overproduced, it is not I Hear Black (example ║ │ │║ of modern) or The Ritual (example of ║ │ │║ overproduced). Due to this and also the killing ║ │ │║ and grinding tracks this album is HermeticaÆs ║ │ │║ top record and maybe the best Argentinean heavy ║ │ │║ metal album ever. ║ │ │║ This band and mainly this album have influence ║ │ │║ all the Argentinean metal scene during and ║ │ │║ through all the 90┤s decade, even though this ║ │ │║ band had split up in lately 1994. We can find ║ │ │║ everything that makes really worth listenable a ║ │ │║ Metal album; drilling riffs, very matching bass ║ │ │║ lines, thundering drums, killing vocals and even ║ │ │║ if that was not enough, the artwork is amazing. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Do you want Thrashing Metal assaults with ║ │ │║ pounding drums and grinding guitar work? OK, so ║ │ │║ you can find ôRobo Un Autoö, ôGil Trabajadorö, ║ │ │║ ôEvitando El Ablandeö, ôEn Las Calles De ║ │ │║ Liniersö and ôPredicci≤nö. All these songs are ║ │ │║ breakneck speed dealers with a devastating vocal ║ │ │║ approach and exceptional lyrics about diverse ║ │ │║ things like working class people, heavy metal ║ │ │║ maniacs, how idiot religion is and even a ║ │ │║ description of the life in one of the most ║ │ │║ dangerous areas in the world, Liniers (a very ║ │ │║ poor district of Argentina) which is far more ║ │ │║ dangerous and violent than Bronx in its worst ║ │ │║ time, believe me, IÆve been there. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Two instrumental songs called ôHorizonte ║ │ │║ Perdidoö and ôDe Pismanta A Bauchacetaö which ║ │ │║ are not as great as the others but are good ║ │ │║ enough to be instrumental ones. ôMemoria De ║ │ │║ Siglosö is a stomping mid tempo song that is ║ │ │║ very fit for the people to sing at the shows. ║ │ │║ And because of that it is a concert staple. ║ │ │║ ôAtravesando Todo Lφmiteö is another fuelled mid ║ │ │║ tempo tune but with thrashing gusts, very ║ │ │║ reflexive lyrics and brilliant riffs. ôLa ║ │ │║ Revancha De Americaö and ôVientos De Poderö are ║ │ │║ solid and consistent thrash metal songs that ║ │ │║ count with plenty of exquisite arrangements in ║ │ │║ the guitar work especially shown on the solos ║ │ │║ and manic drumming. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ ôDel Camioneroö starts out slowly with Iorio ║ │ │║ singing but then speeds up and OÆConnor takes ║ │ │║ the vocals. This formula was used by Hermetica ║ │ │║ in every studio album, the bassist Ricardo Iorio ║ │ │║ starts singing and then OÆConnor takes the ║ │ │║ vocals on the fastest part, for example: Vida ║ │ │║ Impersonal on their first album, Del Camionero ║ │ │║ on this album and Otro Dφa Para Ser on Victimas ║ │ │║ Del Vaciamiento, their last studio album. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Although very repetitive Antonio RomanoÆs guitar ║ │ │║ work is excellent, even though some riffs are ║ │ │║ quite basic and the solos arenÆt as godly as ║ │ │║ other solos unfolded by other legendary axe men ║ │ │║ such as Civile or Marciello. Ricardo Iorio┤s ║ │ │║ bass playing is fine, not spectacular but very ║ │ │║ far from being bad or even insignificant. ║ │ │║ Claudio Strunz literally crushes the drum kit ║ │ │║ and as I said before in other reviews, Claudio ║ │ │║ OÆConnor sings very similar to Udo but meaner ║ │ │║ and more aggressive.
