In the DJ booth Hidden Empire and Boy Next Door all bring their
immersive sets, packing up heat and energy on the dancefloor. The same
can be said for their productions, which are industrious club
catalysts, as they show in their latest joint release consisting of a
power-heavy four tracker. Hidden Empire kicks off affairs with Lost in
Time, a resounding deep tech incursion centered around a throbbing
bassline and swift percussive arrangements. The groove carves out
space through alternating buzzing synths and a hellish vocal, creating
an acid-tinged dungeon-like atmosphere. This seems to set the tone for
the entire release, as Get Lost brings to a focus an equally murky
ambiance, filled with voluminous elements and heavy synth pads. An
ominous vocal enhances the overall gloomy mood adding suspense, while
arpeggiated chords bring in a contrasting slice of warmth and light.
