Honorman joins us at Piston Recordings with a superb debut
titled Peppers EP. We don't know too much about this relative
newcomer to the scene, but we are wholly impressed and excited
about the sound on this fantastic EP. Hopefully we'll find out
more as time goes on.
Green Peppers is a top-notch, up-front deep house mover. Leaning
towards the tougher side of the rails, the track boasts a solid,
pumping kick drum and shuffling hat sequence which spouts out a
smooth rhythmic flow. The main theme throughout the track is a
hypnotic, metallic stab, plucky bass and cool chopped vocal. A
minimal approach with massive impact on the floors, not to be
missed.
Blue Peppers takes us to the next level, upping the tempo, with
a superb, dancey groove filed with cool chord stabs and a
choppier vocal. The pacey drums become infectious along with the
sub-level bass while sporadic percussions stack up to form a
solid rhythm. A touch of retro seeps into the groove on the
break, adding a nice touch to the sound. A stomping cut that is
a must have, no doubt.
