One of the most exciting acts to come out of a homeland littered with superstar DJs and producers, Dutch duo, Huminal, have continued to excite and impress with a series of original productions and remix work. Eloquently highlighted in the 2014's debut Acrophobia EP for Particles, two brand new remixes are now presented. Half of the Soundexile duo, Argentinean, Paul Carr, has an illustrious set of production credentials under his ever-expanding belt. A regular on the Sudbeat imprint with a century of production credits alongside fellow countryman and global legend, Hernan Cattaneo, Carr has seen his stock rise to meteoric proportions. Work signed to Urban Torque, Natura Sonoris and Balance Music through Cattaneo's Balance 026 compilation, has only added to cast-iron pedigree. As Baunder, Carr's work has been no less important and impressive. Baroque, Off Side and Sudbeat have again been a home to his production work, with Pole Folder a standout remixer on Neptunia and Juan Deminicis, Interaxxis and Kriece among his own remix credits. A trio of remixes make up the Baunder production portfolio for Particles thus far including reworks of Abdomen Burst, Erdi Irmak and most recently of Asten and Andrew Benson in June 2014. Returning to Particles, the Baunder remix of Morning Riser is an immaculately conceived rhythmic gem that fizzes with percussive nuance while paying homage to the original. Echoes of Huminal's memorable riffs make their presence felt in full emotive glory and clever additional production takes Baunder's work in an enticing new direction, illustrating the Argentinean's skill and technical wizardry. Since bursting onto the underground scene in 2012, Belarusian, Michael A, has been nothing short of prolific in the intervening period. With his production fundamentals rooted in the progressive house sound, Michael's groove oriented work has seen him develop a deeper sound that has been supported by such leading figures as Guy J and Hernan Cattaneo. Work signed to Balkan Connection, 3rd Avenue and his own Genesis label, has thus seen Michael A create a wealth of original and remix production material. Michael A's Behind the Moon EP in 2014 stands as a notable highlight for Particles, backed by remixes of Following Light and GMJ. Once again joining forces with Egyptian producer, Mou. who has begun to develop a growing portfolio on the likes of Balkan Connection the pair's remix of Derek Howell in April 2014 is now followed by an intelligent rerub of Road to Transmission, full of the pair's trademark penchant for rhythm and groove. Echoing the melodic themes so prevalent in Huminal's original, additional production sees the remix take on a meandering new direction in the second half with freeform melody and strings playing an integral part in a unique offering.
