This album is very likeable, very ║ │ │║ easy to listen to. But somewhere around there ║ │ │║ lies the one problem in this album - it lacks ║ │ │║ heavyness. Almost every track here is great and ║ │ │║ enjoyable, but altogether, its too light. ║ │ │║ The first track is a faster, very nice opener, ║ │ │║ When Eagles Dare. It's usually good to start the ║ │ │║ album with a speedy lighter track, and Maiden ║ │ │║ know it. Good Solo, good vocals and good ║ │ │║ drumming make this, well, a good track. 7.7/10 ║ │ │║ The second song is Bruce's first written piece, ║ │ │║ Revalations. I kind of like the semi-epicness of ║ │ │║ Bruce's writing. The music's flow is what really ║ │ │║ makes this song among the album's best. 8/10 ║ │ │║ Following that is what many think to be the best ║ │ │║ track on the album, and perhaps they're right. ║ │ │║ This track truly shows the nature of this album, ║ │ │║ fast, light and enjoyable. Great solo by the ║ │ │║ way. 8.7/10 ║ │ │║ Die With Your Boots On is another enjoyable ║ │ │║ track, with another great chorus. There isn't ║ │ │║ that much really to about it, I mean, I wouldn't ║ │ │║ exactly consider this filler, but it's not an ║ │ │║ outstanding track, not in the long term anyway. ║ │ │║ 7.3/10s ║ │ │║ The Fifth track kicks ass. The Trooper is ║ │ │║ probably the most well known track here, and ║ │ │║ quite rightfully. Very powerful track, great ║ │ │║ guitars and excellent vocals. 9/10 ║ │ │║ The next three tracks are lighter, not very ║ │ │║ notable tracks, with Still life being the best. ║ │ │║ Still Life has an interesting flow; the other ║ │ │║ two are simply too happy, though I think it's ║ │ │║ worth mentioning that Quest For Fire is natably ║ │ │║ better than Sun And Steel. 7.5/10, 6.5/10, ║ │ │║ 5.5/10. ║ │ │║ The last track, Steve's epic piece of the album, ║ │ │║ breaks the severe lightness created by the ║ │ │║ previous tracks. It isn't exactly among Maiden's ║ │ │║ heavier tracks, but it's the heaviest here. ║ │ │║ Anyway, it has a fucking good build-up, some of ║ │ │║ the finest vocals in the album and very noteable ║ │ │║ and clear riffing. 8.8/10. ║ │ │║ If you're into Maiden, or generally into ║ │ │║ light-hearted or not-too-heavy speedy songs, ║ │ │║ then i suppose you allready have this.
