Juan Franco Rivero aka JFR hails from Mendoza and has been rising out of Argentina's progressive house underground since making his debut in 2017. Recent releases for Massive Harmony Records and Superordinate Music have been well received, making for a strong start to 2019. Now following a new EP for PHW Elements, JFR debuts on Onestar with the much anticipated 'Infierno Encantador'. Beginning on a bed of tight beats and detailed percussion comes tranquil arps and blissful pads. Opening up with each successive loop, the melodic narrative grows through shimmering overlays and a pulsating rhythmic core. Segueing smoothly into the main break a cinematic tone comes over the piece with icy, siren like sweeps adding waves of tension, before a quick drop ushers in a powerful finale. A stunning track from JFR and perhaps one of his strongest to date, making it quite worthy of a single track showcase from the always excellent Onestar records. Highly recommended.
