I met jahjaylee in 7th grade. We dropped out of 9th period band class
together so we leave school early and play video games. While I was
off messing around with music in college, jahjaylee was mastering
computer science, economics, game theory, etc. He always had a deep
love for music and a razor sharp taste for quality. After poking at
him for awhile, he started learning his away around ableton about a
year ago. He's just finished his first original EP and it's
incredible.
This EP showcases some of jay's earliest productions. You can hear him
explore everything from introspective/moody deep house, to uplifting
broken beat rave tools to no-nonsense house bangers. Despite the
variety in sound, you can hear jay's artistic vision shine through
independent of the style he's producing. This is only the beginning
for this brand new artist and I strongly recommend you keep an eye on
him.
