Supported by a host of DJ luminaries including Jimmy Van M, Nick Warren and Khen, an array of remixes have followed throughout 2015 now featuring Greek and Australian talents as they remix Serum for Particles. From the ancient Macedonian city of Serres, Simos Tagias has become a force to be reckoned with since early work for Lynx Records. Involved in his local club scene from a tender age, performances at a variety of private gigs and underground parties ultimately led to performances alongside Guy J, Luis Junior and Navar, laying the foundation for future success in the production arena. A clutch of releases for Modu and part of Cid Inc.'s Ten compilation on Change Audio, the latter provided a platform for Tagias to go on and score an original EP on the Finn's own Replug imprint with Jorgio Kioris. Stellar Fountain and Movement have continued to extol Tagias' virtues and prolific output in bright light with Particles also proving a popular home for the Greek's evolving production credentials. Appearances on the Spring and Summer Particles 2014 compilations saw Drunk State receive an EP release while a remix of Antrim opened 2015 in impressive fashion. Reworking Serum, Simos Tagias has taken the core themes central to Monro's original and reinvented them around a hypnotic groove, creating a work of impressive imagination. Distant vocal phrasing and pads pay homage to the original while additional production in the shape of soft melodic riff allied to a driving bass line drives the remix relentlessly post-breakdown to a rousing finale. Melbourne based producer and DJ, Gavin Griffin, has derived considerable success through his GMJ production moniker. A DJ with over two decades experiences, performances, his spatial atmospheric music has enraptured audiences across the globe. A portfolio that includes an original release on the world famous Vapour Records including remixes from Kasey Taylor and Dousk, has been supplemented by additional work for Balkan Connection, Stripped and Open Records. Furthermore, support for his constantly evolving sounds has come from the hallowed quarters of Cattaneo, Digweed, Warren and Seaman. Particles has been host to an impressive collection of original works as 2014 saw the release of the Edge of Remembrance and Forgotten Wisdom EPs in spectacular fashion. Accompanied by remixes from Stephen J. Kroos, Rich Curtis and Blood Groove and Kikis, the GMJ sound has continued to receive 'A' list reworks. Working his particular breed of magic on Serum, the GMJ remix blends a high-class rhythm section with a host of new production material to rework Monro's original with exciting lan.
