August 2017 saw James Monro deliver a magnum opus with his very
personal and inventive album In the Ether. As Yin and Yang
return to the body of work, the bass-laden Voyager now receives
remixes from Dutch and Polish stars.
An artist with a triple century of production credits to his
name, Arthur Fabianski has found considerable success with his
CJ Art pseudonym. A 2006 debut for John 00 Fleming's JOOF
Recordings saw the Polish artist go on to feature 10 more times
for the label. Contemporaneously, CJ Art went on to star for the
likes of Mistique Music, Bonzai Progressive and Suffused Music.
A debut for Yin in January 2016 saw a remix of Dutch icon
Exoplanet, as he now returns to rework Voyager.
Maintaining the leviathan like power of the original, a huge
running bass groove projects across the low-end in dark,
charismatic fashion before familiar refrains of Monro's central
motif emerge at the mid-point. Building in effortless fashion,
white-noise effects and filtered vocal cuts flash across the
eight-minute track. A chest-thumping kick and off-beat snare
form the foundation of a ticking percussive groove to add a
dynamic dancefloor element.
