The track has seen huge support from the likes of Paul van Dyk, John "00" Fleming, Ferry Corsten, Scott Bond etc. "Vellum" was recently featured on a number of albums across the globe including compilations from EUPHORIA, GATECRASHER and HANDS TO HEAVEN to name but a few. John has also had other tracks licensed for compilations in America, Scandinavia and the Middle East. JohnÆs latest offering, ôThe Doorö, has all the signs of being yet another classic release with Paul van Dyk including it in his recent Essential mix on BBC Radio One and several licensing requests from various high profile brands including MINSITRY OF SOUND. With several other studio projects on the go including a some exciting remix work and a diary full of quality international dj dates... the future's bright...the future's red. HISTORY John started his dj career in the early 90's with a residency for the free party sound system Code Red. At the end of 1995 it was decided to move the parties from the fields to the clubs. With this move John started warming up for top international names such as Billy Nasty, Mark NRG and Gayle San. He quickly established a name for himself and was subsequently booked to play a number of other high profile nights including Universe's legendary Final Frontier where John rocked the decks along side Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, Mark Spoon and Dj Dag. Over the next five years John found himself traveling to Slovakia, Denmark, Sweden, France, Ireland and Amsterdam to deliver his now trademark sound. A sound and style that the Swedish dance press described as it's like watching Jeff Mills mixing but using Paul van Dyk's records!!. John's debut appearance at The Extreme Club in Bratislava was simultaneously broadcast on the national radio station Fun FM. Two hours into the set, in addition to the club being packed to the rafters, a further thousand people were still waiting to get in outside. 1998 John took up new residencies for Deep Blue and The UFO Club where every week he found himself sharing the bill with the likes of Carl Cox, Dave Angel, Dave Clarke and Eat Static. 1999 John teamed up with Bristol's most respected techno dj, Simmer to form Shimmy recordings. With highly acclaimed reviews from the national dance press John began to gain a reputation for his unique writing and production skills which combined euphoric melodies with hard driving beats. 2000 A new millennium and another residency for John - for Universe, of Tribal Gathering fame. With this John found himself resident dj for a national tour organised to promote the release of the club orientated film "Sorted". The tour covered 21 venues in one month and featured many of the world's finest djs including Carl Cox, Timo Maas, Danny Rampling, Danny Howells, Way Out West and John "00" Fleming.
