Great production and music, but some of the lyrics are a bit weak as are John Illsley's lead vocal - and donÆt even start on the opening trackÆs awful title. There are still a lot of redeeming features, though, from Terry Williams' energetic drumming in the opening track, Mark Knopfler's guitar playing dotted throughout the album and Phil Palmer's explosive ending to Another Alibi. Kevin Jarvis' keyboard playing is also consistently excellent. For the most part the songs are good but quick listen will tell you that, even though there are some good ideas neatly executed, there isn't enough, well, ôsoulö, to really make anything stick. This is really a curio for Dire Straits fans, and released at a time when the band were on hiatus.
