ΓÇ£interlopersΓÇ¥ is a categorically dark and dystopian ambient album,
SagerΓÇÖs fifth release in the genre. It addresses more deeply the
grittier themes that have incrementally featured in each of his
previous efforts. Drawing on his formative years as a devout metal,
industrial, and techno fan, and his love for H.P. Lovecraft and
apocalyptic fiction, Sager knew at the outset of the albumΓÇÖs creation
that he wanted to explore those influences. In many ways,
ΓÇ£interlopersΓÇ¥ represents a return to the aesthetic preference that
helped define his early life. The result is an album that is staunchly
tense and unsettled, captivating the listener in a musical language
beset by the unknown.
