Review: The long-running Parquet label taps some of the most respected names in tech-house for this split release. First up, is Kaiser Souzai with "Efairy". Despite its title, the mood is ominous and layered, as a brooding bass and ponderous vocal samples are combined with mysterious textures and rasping percussion. It's an alluring, hypnotic affair. Fede Key & Matteo Gargallo's contribution is based on a similar mood, and "Revenge" resounds to a pulsating bass, washes of eerie synth and a rolling bass. Talul's "Infidelity" completes this superb EP. While not as menacing as the first two contributions, its synth lines are truly evocative and the bass tones have a touch of 80s New Order.
