New Earth is the debut EP of a promising talent from Belgium. Kato De
Vidts delivers five tracks of leftfield downtempo, with laidback
rhythms and graceful melodies: an ambient bliss progressively changing
into a beat-driven eerie excursion.
When the gates open, First Signs welcomes the listener with chilled
melodic percussions, soon joined by oriental pads, grainy bass and
acoustic drums, leading him through the windy plains of this new-age
world.
The spacious atmosphere of Realm Of No Mind its vibrant strings
thrilling over the deep waves of the bass, provide an ethereal touch
to the score and invite to further explorations.
The trip gets forceful with Inevitable Reflection: following an
intriguing loop, the voyager drifts away to a dramatic scene where a
spellbinding melody is hovering over rolling snares and stomping bass
drums.
In Kon, the journey extends to more urban scapes with a stealthy kick
