Now, the Lily Pita remix of Calm Before the Storm is an immaculately crafted affair that explores the themes inherent in Souza's work and expands on them with a raft of new melodic ideas. The changed key provides a darker edge to her track, as the lead motif from the original sparkles in new analogue majesty. Evolving effortlessly through metronomic beats and shuffling open hats, a running bassline builds in intensity into the third movement with open-filtered dynamism.
