Launched to critical acclaim and global support in the autumn of 2013, Khen Falah's Thousand Mirrors epitomised the work of a young Israeli producer with a distinctive sound, shaped through considerable success for such labels as Sudbeat, Replug and Plattenbank. A Proton top 10 best seller, the second track from the EP, Voices From The Past, now receives a well-deserved solo release featuring remixes from the Santiago Garcia and Khen himself, alongside fellow countryman, Sahar Z. Co-owner of the influential and successful Baires imprint, Argentinean, Santiago Garcia, has seen his career rise rapidly since a first remix from Balkan Connection in 2011. Raised in the Buenos Aries capital, over a double century of production credits accompany the his name. Half of these credits find themselves allied to the Baires and Balkan Connection imprints while work for Flow Vinyl, microCastle and Visceral show a depth of versatility and a much sought after sound. A regular behind the decks across his homeland, Garcia's appearance at Caix, State, Pacha and Bahrein have been supplemented with a Mexican tour in 2012. Two remixes for Proton Music thus far have seen Santiago flourish with dynamic reworkings of Colourblock and Derek Howell in 2012, based upon his penchant for deep pulsating rhythms and hypnotic hooks. Now returning to Proton for a third remix outing, his remix of Voices From The Past sees an immaculate rhythm section accompanied by a smooth, rich bass line that lays the foundation for harmonies to fall and rise with effortless ease as Khen's original is reminiscent in all its joyous, melodic glory, wrapped in a brand new crisp shell. Israeli, Sahar Z has established a long-standing reputation built upon the principles of hard work and considerable talent. A veteran of the Israeli house scene, Sahar Z's residency at the world-famous Haomann 17 club has seen him emerge as a growing force in his homeland cemented further by his co-ownership of the famous underground The Cat and Dog in the Tel Aviv capital. Approaching a century of production credits, Sahar Z's talents in the sphere of musical creativity have been matched by a catalogue of appearances on the finest labels. Renaissance, Stripped and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat have all featured his unique talents, most recently alongside fellow Israeli superstar, Chicola. Making his debut for Proton Music, guided by Khen's inimitable style, the duo's new interpretation sees the formation of a fresh rhythmic and melodic path forged from skills honed from countless hours of studio work and dance floor know-how.
