Kisschasy are no ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ exception to this: While their name might sound a ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ little "weak" the sounds that they blast out are ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ both melodic and powerful, combining elements of ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ rock and roll carnage with sometimes sweet yet ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ melancholy pop undertones. ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ Kisschasy spent most of 2003 rehearsing, writing and ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ playing shows in overage clubs in Melbourne while ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ trying to avoid security for being underage. In ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ September 2003, the band signed their first record ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ contract with indie label, Below Par Records and ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ played a few shows with The Ataris, Useless i.d. and ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ Lagwagon before heading into the studio with David ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ Carr (Antiskeptic) to record their debut single ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ "Darkside/Stay Awake". ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ Once the band finally emerged from the studio, the ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ results were amazing. A young bands first time in a ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ recording studio can usually be a disaster but not ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ for Kisschasy who displayed maturity beyond their ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ years. The songs displayed that their song writing ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ was leaps and bounds above the hordes of "hype" ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ bands posing as rock stars. ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ Taking influences from a wide range of bands ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ including ACDC, Saves The Day, Glassjaw and Incubus. ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ Kisschasy are anything BUT a punk band, not that ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ they don't love and share the same DIY ethics and ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ attitudes of punk rock bands, touring the east coast ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ with Pennywise and Bodyjar proved this, but the ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ music is worlds apart and they don't feel ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ comfortable claiming to be something that they're ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ not. ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ So with all that said, where does such a young band ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ with the potential to be the biggest band in the ██████▓▌ ▐▓██████ world go from here?
